The very best of luck is wished to the Sliabh
gCua Figure Dancers who this weekend takes part in the Senior Scór All-Ireland
Final at the Water Front in Belfast.
Sliabh gCua are the only Waterford
representatives to come out of the recent Munster Finals.
The club has won the All-Ireland in the past in
1972, 1974, 1976, 1979, 1980, 1981 and 1984.
There is a link between this year’s and the
teams of the past in Monnie Hallahan who has danced or/and coached all of the
winning teams. Last year Monnie announced that he was to retire but was talked
back into coaching set dancing for another while. It would be great to see
Monnie and Sliabh gCua win an eight All-Ireland Senior Scor Final.
